Getting to the lifters is going to take probably 3+ hours, or more if you haven't done your plenum deletes yet. If you do remove the cams, DON'T FORGET to make sure all the caps are numbered and labeled. Engine in the car, it may be a bit challenging getting the outer bolts for the exhaust cams torqued. Also, I found cleaning the Exhaust RTV gasket and replacing the cover to be a totaly PITA on a TT in the car. However, once the lifters are out. It's not too too bad. There's definitely a few tricks to it beyond what Ash's article suggest. Finding the right method to strike them to get them to release took a while. The reassembly was also a little slow at first but sped but. I was having problems getting them snapped back together, but a friend picked one up and clamped it in between his palms and it went right through. Like anything on the Z32, its not impossible, its just difficult and time consuming. I would rate this project as fairly complicated.
